With a special appearance from Luke Baston. Well we started off well with a great doubles win for Chris Boyd and Lee Blakey and the same again for John Boyd and Luke Baston. So a nice 2 – 0 lead. But then that soon turned 2-1 . . . → Read More: 3RD Game of the Season (Away to Masons A)]]> So this week the trap visited the Masons A. With a special appearance from Luke Baston. Well we started off well with a great doubles win for Chris Boyd and Lee Blakey and the same again for John Boyd and Luke Baston. So a nice 2 – 0 lead. But then that soon turned 2-1 as Taff and John Low managed to outplay Liam Stevens and John Doherty with several snookers to make the score 2-1 at the end of the doubles games.

So to start of the singles was Luke and he played a blinder. Without a hint of looking slightly rusty he played some great shots to ensure that we went 3 – 1 in the lead.

Lee Blakey was next up and he played superbly and earned himself an 8 ball finish. 4-1 to The Trap A

John Doherty was next and he played well and despite going in off once, he ensured that he keeps up his unbeaten run in the singles to 3 games. (Slight pressure on Liam for his game) 5-1

Chris Boyd was up next and he played arguably the Masons A best player. D UNDELDORF. He was superb and when Chris Hung the black, he knew it was game over.  5-2

Liam Stevens was next and he was up against a player that just hit and hoped and the majority the hope turned into luck as 3 times Liam was snookered behind his opponent’s balls. But despite his luck Liam fought back and he is now right back up John’s neck as they are now both on 3 out of 3. 6-2

John Boyd was last and he played outstanding and finally the black went in, and John deserved his 2nd win in 3 games. So a 7-2 win, and still 2 of our 6 players have not lost a singles game !!!!!!!

This seasons winter league presentation evening will be held at East Chevington Social Club (TUTE) , and will start at 7.45pm. The presentation of the trophies begins at 8pm, and then there will be a stand up comedy act leading up to about 10pm.

The Trap A Team have a trophy to pick up. This trophy is the doubles league winners, and it means that 1 lucky member of our team, will be getting up on the stage to collect our trophy.

Please feel free to attend the evening which we hope will be a huge success, just like in recent years !!!!
